GETTING TO KNOW US
Launched in 2016, the Fenner Frost Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting adults of 18+ with learning disabilities and/or autism
to develop the work related skills required to access paid and volunteer employment opportunities.
Within our RPM (Reaching People Through Music)
Record Shop in Sittingbourne, we provide
meaningful retail opportunities for our students.
They are involved in all aspects of running the shop including identifying and sourcing stock,
pricing and display, serving customers
and handling money, together with undertaking the general day to day tasks in a retail environment.
We additionally aim to secure ongoing work placements for our students within the community that further their skills and understanding of work in the 'outside world'. We are also delighted to offer a regular programme of courses to further their education, knowledge,
skills and experience within the workplace.
Our well-being and life away from work is also a crucial aspect of our service and therefore we are also delighted to offer a regular programme of social events and activities throughout the year, including our 'Pizza & Karaoke' evening, bowling trips, movie nights and our annual caravan holiday - always hugely popular!
The Fenner Frost Foundation also forges vital links within the local community, aiming to raise awareness of the positive contribution that people with learning
disabilities can bring to the work place.
